We offer a preparation service where we go through everything with you, but there are several things you can do to simplify your move and avoid surprises.
Take the opportunity to declutter items you no longer need to reduce the moving load and streamline the process.
Prepare attic and basement storage Take the opportunity to go through your attic or basement storage and feel free to move items down to the apartment from the attic or up from the basement in advance.
Dismantle wall fixtures.
If you haven't booked our packing service, make sure that pictures, TVs, curtains, and lamps are dismantled and packed. Smaller pictures can be placed in boxes, while larger ones should be protected with, for example, boxes and bubble wrap. This saves time and reduces the risk of damage.
Loose items should be packed in boxes.
Use our moving boxes and ensure that all loose items, such as candlesticks, umbrellas, table lamps, vases, and vacuum cleaners, etc., are packed and that the boxes are closed. Be careful not to pack too heavy, and label the boxes properly with the labels on the short side of the box. Properly labeled boxes make unpacking easier and more efficient at the new address.
Protect furniture and items
Use the protective materials we provide. If everything is protected properly, the move will be smoother and quicker, while also reducing the risk of damage.
